Dr. Boehner is a native of Syracuse, New York, and has been living in the Central Savannah River Area since 1982. He graduated from the State University of N.Y. Health Science Center at Syracuse, and completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, working both at Talmadge Hospital and University Hospital.
He has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in Aiken since 1986. Dr. Boehner is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has served as President of the Augusta Obstetrical and Gynecological Society. He is also a member of the South Carolina Medical Association and the Aiken County Medical Society.
At Aiken Regional Medical Centers, he founded the Department of Perinatal Medicine and served as chairman of that department from 1991 to 1997. This department is composed of both Obstetrician/Gynecologists and Pediatricians and is dedicated to the improvement of maternal/neonatal/infant health. He has served on numerous committees at ARMC as well. He is currently a member of the Board of Governors of Aiken Regional Medical Centers..
Dr. Boehner lives in downtown Aiken with his wife Debbie, and his four children Christopher, Jaime, Philip and Megan. His hobbies include Amateur Radio, and all forms of two-way communication. He currently is the American Radio Relay League Section Manager for the state of South Carolina. He volunteers with the Aiken County Sheriffs Office as a Technical Consultant. He is an active tennis player, and is a life member of the U.S. Tennis Association. He is an accomplished musician, playing trumpet for numerous professional and amateur musical organizations throughout the CSRA. Dr Boehner is also a computer enthusiast and has authored several websites.
